Love Island fans have called for a beauty procedure used by many women use on the show to be banned.

The procedure in question is hair extensions, as eagle eyed viewers have spotted many coming out and began posting clips from the ITV show on social media. Sharing a snap of the current Love Island: All Stars series, Instagram account @banterkinggram urged: “Abolish hair extensions I’m so serious… like, this is getting out of hand omg???”

Another post on TikTok showed a clip of another contestant whose hair extensions also looked to be coming away from her head. They captioned the post: “Bad hair extensions series continue!” as a voice over the top exclaimed: “Oh my God, what is that?”

In the comments underneath one fan said: “Hate tape in extensions and this is why.” Leaping to the girls’ defence, a third commented: “It’s so bad but so unnoticeable because her face eats this season. She looks so damn good!”

A fourth said: “You’d think they would have professional hair extensions done with all the money they have.” While a fifth pointed out: “It’s not bad hair extensions, it’s the way she’s put them up. They are hard to cover if you hair is fine around the front.”

ITV) It comes after Love Islander Grace Jackson, who appeared on last year’s summer Love Island alongside ex Joey Essex, revealed she gave herself a huge glow up before going into the villa to find love for the second time.

The 25-year-old blonde bombshell gave fans an insight into her beauty preparations before jetting off to South Africa for Love Island: All Stars. Shared snippets of her ‘transformation’, procedures including a trip to a filler doctor, going for a lash lift, an appointment for new hair extensions and lots of gym workouts.

And it turns out that Grace is a fan of a tape hair extension to get her flowing golden locks. Her stylist revealed she wears five packs of the 24″ Spectrum One Invisible Tapes in shades Bora Bora, Frost and Polar Ash, which cost £126.

Love Island/YouTube) Katy Grimshaw, founder of Spectrum One Hair Extensions said she “sandwiches” the invisible tapes together to create a “multi tonal” colour to match Grace’s hair colour and “blend more seamless than ever”.

Grace has also been open about cosmetic treatments she has done. In videos posted by award-winning aesthetic doctor Dr Roshan Ravindran it was revealed Grace had undergone so-called ‘soft treatments’ on her face.

These include lifting the brow with Botox and using filler for her tear troughs. The tear trough is the area that sits in between the lower eye lid and the cheek. In an interview with The Mirror, Dr Rosh – the CEO and Medical Director at KLNIK – shared how he helped Grace enhance her natural beauty as he hit back at the trolls who claimed she had Botox and fillers in areas she didn’t.

He said: “We did a tiny bit of Botox, not for anti ageing, just for lifting the eyebrow. And so we just did very, very soft treatments. But the interesting thing is, because she’s honest about having it, she gets a whole load of hate.

“So Grace has this thing called a middle cheek split where she gets split down at cheek. It’s just normal anatomy. And when she goes in the sun or a hot planet, she gets a bit of malar edema, which is swelling, just to the side of this middle cheek split. And everyone is commenting, ‘that’s filler’. It’s not. She’s never had filler there, but you just kind of get the whole web where, you know, social media is out, they’re looking to judge. They’re looking to because you’ve been honest about they go, ‘Oh, look at that awful filler.'”

When it comes to makeup, Grace revealed her star product is L’Oreal Glotion BB cream in Medium Deep, which she claimed has “changed her life”. The product can be bought for £9.50 on Amazon.
